Updating of all Electrical (Complete Re-wire), Pneumatics and Hydraulics to Meet CSA, TSSA & Z-142
Adding of (2) Windows on Side Columns
Retrofitting the Press with a Rolling Bolster (Purchased Separately)
Complete Rebuild of Ram
Complete Rebuild of Crown
Crown Retrofit, Inspection and Repair
All Crown Components were Removed from the Crown
All Double Action Components were Discarded
All Necessary Modifications were performed to the Crown to Change the Press to Single Action
Visual Inspection of gear tooth wear and antifriction bearing conditions
Full Inspection of Clutch & Brake
Compete Teardown and Inspection of Flywheel All repairs Made
Check & Repair all Shafts and Pins in the Lathe for Straightness, Wear and Cracks
Check Conditions & Repair of all Gears, Linkages, Bore Information and Keyways
Check & Repair of Eccentric Lobes and Connecting Arm Bushings
Check Lower Connections, Wrist Pins, Bushing
Cleaning of Crown Interior
All Components out of Tolerance or in Excess of Acceptable Wear, were Replaced, Repaired or Modified to Achieve Industry Standards
The Crown was then Transported to Tool-Plas and was lifted into Place Empty
All Components were then Installed in the Crown
The Press Ram
Note: All Ram Re-work was Performed by Danly Press
Complete Disassembly of all Inner Ram Components
All Components Cleaned and Inspected
All Components were checked with Die Penetrate for Cracks
All Parts were Inspected to meet Original Danly Specs. Any that did not were Replaced
All Shafts and Screws were put on a lathe and Checked for Straightness and Concentricity
Lift Check on Ram Adjust Threads
Complete Rebuild of Hydraulic Overloads with replacing of all seals and Rings
Removed and Discarded all Outer Ram Components that were Double Action
Purchased, Machined, T-Slotted, Drilled and Tapped and Installed Common Plate to Tie the Inner & Outer Rams Together
Machined Blocks and Welded them in Place to help secure the Two rams Together
Shipped to Tool-Plas
The Side Column
Work Performed by Danly Press
Each of (2) Were Stripped Down of all Wires and Piping
A Window was Engineered and Cut into Each Side Column
All Lube Lines were re-routed to Allow the Windows
The Mating Column Ends and Keyways were Machined for Square
The Press Base
Was Stripped, Cleaned and Painted
All Lube Lines and Piping were Removed
The Structure was Engineered and Modified to Accept the Added Rolling Bolster
Cushions were Removed
Rails were added for the Bolster
Counter Balances
Work Performed by Danly Press
All (3) Counterbalances were Completely Disassembled and Inspected by Danly
The ID was Machine Honed to remove any scoring and the OD of the Piston Center was turned on the Lathe
All Packing, Fiber Wear Rings and Seals were Replaced
Spot Chromed where Necessary
The (3) Cylinders after the Complete Rebuild were then Carefully Assembled and Shipped to Tool-Plas
Air Tanks
All (3) Air Receptacles were Thickness Checked, Crack Checked, Rust Wear Checked and Approved by TSSA
New Victaulic Piping was Piped to Counterbalances
Rolling Bolster
The Rolling Bolster was Modified to roll Front to Back
All Hydraulic Cylinders were inspected and Seals replaced
All Electrical was Replaced with New
Tie Rod & Nuts
The Tie Rods were Cleaned and Inspected for Damage
The Hydraulic Tie Rod Nuts were Given New Seals
MANY OTHER SMALL ITEMS AND ISSUES WERE RESOLVED AND REPLACED AS THE START-UP COMMENCED AND AS DISCOVERED!!
